Important Updates and Due Dates

NPI (National Provider Identifier) - Each resident has a NPI number and is responsible for notifying the NPPES of address and contact changes within 30 days of the effective date of the change. Please be sure residents who are changing programs or leaving UNC Hospitals are aware of this requirement. They may submit the change via the web at https://nppes.cms.hhs.gov/ or by paper. The forms are located on the website www.cms.hhs.gov/cmsforms. If they are unable to log on, they may call the NPI Enumerator at 1-800-465-3203.

The Graduate Medical Education Committee will meet Wednesday, May 16, at 3:30 p.m. in 133 MacNider. Agenda items should be submitted to the Office of Graduate Medical Education no later than noon on Wednesday, May 9.

The Housestaff Council will have its next quarterly meeting on Wednesday, May 16, beginning at 6:00 pm at the Siena Hotel. Elections for 2012-13 HSC officers will be conducted during this meeting. Two delegates from each department should attend the meeting to ensure quorum for the election. Please RSVP to KSHill@unch.unc.edu by May 11.
